Welcome to the 2019 Computing Sciences Summer Student Program!


Dear Students,

Welcome to LBNL's 2019 Computing Sciences Summer Student Program. I am Osni Marques, from the Computational Research Division (CRD), and the Summer Student Program Chair for 2019. As a member of this select group of students, your participation in the Berkeley Lab Summer Student Program will contribute important and valuable insights to your future professional development. You will have the opportunity to learn even more by attending​ a ​wide ​​​range of special events, presentations and tours that we have created just for our summer students. Please check the table below for a schedule of these events

The program will start on June 4, 2019, with a lunch and a welcome from David Brown, Director of the Computational Research Division.

Berkeley Lab's Computing Sciences organization innovates, develops, and deploys new tools and technologies to support research in areas of global climate change, combustion, fusion energy, nanotechnology, biology, and astrophysics. Unfortunately, the Berkeley Lab Computing Sciences Summer Student Program cannot provide housing for participating students that are flying in for the summer. However, here are some resources for those looking for a summer sublet or rental in Berkeley.
