Summer Students 2020

Welcome to the 2020 Computing Sciences Summer Student Program


On Tuesday, August 4, 10-11am PT, the Berkeley Lab Computing Sciences Summer Student Program will host its annual poster session, showcasing the work of 100+ student interns, assistants, and affiliates who have been mentored this summer by staff from the Computational Research Division (CRD), the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Division (NERSC), and Scientific Networking Division (ESnet).


This year’s poster session is different from previous years', in that it will be held virtually rather than in person. Beginning July 29th, all posters and presentation videos will be available for viewing, prior to the virtual poster session, at https://bit.ly/2020_Posters_and_Presentations.


On August 4, all Berkeley Lab staff will have an opportunity to interact with the students about their posters and ask questions about their research via several Zoom channels.

Berkeley Lab's Computing Sciences organization innovates, develops, and deploys new tools and technologies to support research in areas of global climate change, combustion, fusion energy, nanotechnology, biology, and astrophysics. The scheduled presentations aim at giving you an idea of the extensive range of that research.
