Trusted CI, the NSF Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, today announced that Sean Peisert has been tapped to serve as its Deputy Director on the leadership team of the organization. Peisert, a Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) senior scientist in the Scientific Data Division, joined the organization in 2019 and “has made strong leadership contributions” according to the post.
“I am honored to be asked to take on this leadership role and excited to support the new Trusted CI Director, Jim Basney, and to work with the rest of the team to continue the positive impact that Trusted CI has demonstrated for the past decade,” said Peisert. “Trusted CI plays a vital role in supporting and improving cybersecurity for NSF scientific cyberinfrastructure.”
